Colleges Students?
Hi,
I know this may be off the subject but, I am a 17 year old high school junior and I was wondering if any one had heard of Bryant College? They came to my college to recruit and I was impressed. I want to go to school outside of Maine, and would like any suggestions of schools outside of Maine in the MA/CT/RI area. Thanks, Kelly

UT Austin is great, hard and inexpensive. Tough to get into, though.
As for the school you mentioned, I've no idea but suggest you look at www.epinions.com to see who said what about it. Furthermore, if you are looking to go to grad school (MBA, PhD, MA, DDS, whatever), I suggest you go to an easy undergrad school, as undergraduate GPA is the biggest determining factor in where you get to go to grad school.
If you just want a job out of college, then go to the best place you can and bust your butt.
Also, try to speak with students at the schools in which you're interested.
Here's a huge tip in parting: every semester in college sign up for one more class than you really want each term, then drop the one that looks the worst the first day. You'll usually get all your money back, and it will really do wonders for your GPA.

I currently attend Sacred Heart University in Fairfield CT. It is a pretty good school when it comes to personal help when one needs it. Plus, the boarding is really nice because they are relativly new. Also, have you ever heard of Manhatten Collage or Fordum? They are both good schools as well. Just a thought...

I don't mean to sound offensive to LilMiss TL, but I don't think anyone from Bangor, Maine would enjoy going to school in The Bronx. Hell, Even I wouldn't go there and I grew up in LI.
Go down South to the warm weather. Virginia/North Carolina would be a great start.

Clemson University - Clemson, South Carolina. TIME Magazine's Public College of the Year! Excellent reputation, above average (but not out of reach) admissions requirements, Parties everywhere, warm weather, Alot of parties, very friendly atmosphere, oh, did I mention the parties?
I got my undergrad degree there, and would do it all over again if I had the chance

I go to school at Bentley College in Waltham, MA (right outside of Boston). If you are interested in a Business degree of some sort its a great school. If you are not interested in business it's not the place to go. I have a friend who graduated from Bryant last year with a degree in Finance and he seemed to like it.

Speaking of TIME magazine college of the year...USC (The University of Southern California) was their pick for year 2000. I know this is kinda far away from Maine, but it really is a great school and I don't regret coming here one bit. They give tons of financial aid and scholarships. Our mens basketball did surprisingly well this year too.
I'm graduating in May! Got a job lined up for >$60k a year because of my USC B.S. degree.
Go Trojans!
