cold start issue

when i start my tls in the morning i get a thump/bump in the engine area just as it turns over. it is less obvious after the second start(sometimes a double thump) and i cannot feel it after that. also just as i start out there is a slight hesitation when in second grear , but none after warm up or in full auto. any suggestions ? is this a cold starter ? i only have driven 700 miles. is there a system engagement when cold ? dealer could not find anything - it was warmed up by the time they checked out.

Cars do some funny things when they are cold. Sometimes my engine ticks for a lil bit till it gets warm, sometimes my car is very hesitant. If it continues and gets worse then go to the dealer, if not and it happens every once in a blue then it should be alright. But for the safety of your new car, just bring it in.

Do a search on this topic its been looked over before. This was talked about alot a year ago & even after. I forget the exact cause we came up with. I think some said it was the engine mounts on the TL others with the TL-S said steering system I along with some others said the auto climate control system. I say this because when I got my car over 2yrs ago I would leave the auto climate control in the auto mode. When I would get in the car first thing in the mourning & start the car I would get this thunp sound. This was if the Temp was cold outside below 60 over night. The car had to be sitting all night for it to do this. When I turned the auto climate OFF I never had this problem again. I am not sure that the TL & the TL-S prolem s are related but this is what I noticed & we talked about this topic.
