Question Cold Airbox from Weapon-R

I see that the weapon-R website they have the cold airbox for the CL-S. Will this also fit our TL-s?

It should fit... the TL-S and CL-S have the same engine, and I'm pretty sure that the engine bay itself is the same as well, so it shouldn't be a problem!!

i see you have the ICEBOX for the CL TypeS. I would like to know if it can
fit the TL-S. Right now i have the AEM short ram.. i would like to know if
can adapt the AEM to your ICEBOX or do i need to also get the intake from
you.

We will be fitting a TL type S with a cold air box in a few weeks... Check our website for updates.

Not really. An ice box is basically a hybrid b/t a Stock air box ans a CAI.

a CAI is a pipe going straight down to the tire well, getting cooler denser air.

A air box and resonator gets the warm air from under the hood, and resonator suppresses the noise.

an Ice box is a short ram intake encloses in a 5 sided box, getting it's air from the 6th side. This way, it get's the air comming from the tire well, while the box suppresses "some" of the noise and blocks the warm are from the under the hood

A CAI and an ice box both sound good to me, but i think i like the idea of the cai being louder, and i like the idea of the ice box not having to worry about sucking up water

Nope... thats why I'm waiting for Comptech... even if it does take another year and cost more.

Well you can get a bypass valve for your CAI, which prevents water from entering your system. I've only found AEM versions of the bypass, but Cuong from autocarparts.com said the AEM bypass will work on an Injen CAI for example. I think they make AEM bypass valves in different diameters too.

I personally don't think the WR icebox looks cheezzy...it looks good because it's made out of aluminum. The CT is just ABS black plastic. The only problem is that heat will still be transfered to the aluminum material.

The CT IB is slightly louder than stock...i don't konw how loud the WR IB is.

"the idea of the ice box not having to worry about sucking up water" Wrong..the idea of a short ram is not having to worry about sucking up water. The idea of an IB is just an performance enhasnment to the SR.
