Cold Air Intake popping sound problem

I have a 01 cl type s with an AEM CAI. Recently it started to make popping sounds at idle---more frequently when the engine is cold. I triple checked all of the connections and hoses for cracks.

I thought about replacing the IACV or MAF sensor but here is no check engine light on but I'm concerned that the car isn't getting the proper air/fuel mix.

Does anyone else have suggestions? Thanks

Is your IACV aftermarket? I had an aftermarket one on my TL-S for a hot minute and narrowed it down to that, put a Honda one on and the popping stopped.

I would do that if yours is aftermarket.

Did you end up forking up the $ for Denso or just live with the popping sound?

I live with it.. Once its fully warmed up it does quiet down and stop altogether. It does it more frequently when the engine is warming up.
