hey guys

well im sitting here at work and for the past 20 minutes have been looking at this parts diagrams of our front consoles. heres the deal had some girl in my car and she was smoking and i wasnt really paying attention to her for a minute cause i was on the phone, so i got off the phone and realized shed been ashing in the coin tray the whole time..... so pretty much my coin tray already was frucked up so this just gave me the initiative to finally order a new set up

now that im looking at it however i cant figure out all the parts ill actually need...can anyone help me out here

i just want a new coin tray with new lining inside, this time im def ordering the ash tray accessory as well

heres a link to the diagram, if someone could just list the parts itd be great, dont wanna order everyhting and not be able to put it in because i forgot a part or two

why wont you just remove the tray. remove the lining, buy new velvet lining and super glue it down. shouldnt be hard.

i let peeps smoked in my 99 tlp, cause id idnt care, but got a few burn marks, from me really, a major one in the seat, after than i smoked in the 99 still

but in this 03 tls a spec, diff story, ill prob be quitting too...but for now i smoke outside, i chill in parking lots and show off, while i smoke and sip on my timmys coffee

 

lol when i drive and see someone flick their ashes out the window. i get paranoid if it touches my paint. haha even tho i know it wont do nothing if it did.

 

i suppose that "NOT AN ASHTRAY" sticker isn't doing it's job.

if you go to the "CONSOLE" diagram on aap.org you can see the parts you will want are:

5. Ashtry and liner
9. "NOT AN ASHTRAY" sticker
7. retainer spring.

i don't think you should need more than that if you're just replacing the ashtray.

I hate nothing more then when the person in front of my throws their butt out the window, esp at highway speeds, because I can't do a damn thing but watch it hit the road, and bounce right into my fender...I know that it prob isnt' a big deal but it still pisses me off

but yea i guess i'll just go with the lining, my tray sits crooked when you pull it out but i guess i can live with that for now, might as well order the ashtray insert too, protect in case of future slow females who cant read stickers

 

the worst is if ur friend does thatin a back seat or else where, chance r it flys back in

happened to my friends civic, his gf tried to throw it out in highway, came back in and they didnt know, his brother finds a big hole in the seat next morning..

this makes no sense. If you had a hot girl in your car why aren't you paying attention to her- you shouldnt be on the phone

 

direct her next time to the door handle. instruct her to pull on it, then push her out!

 

you're first mistake was allowing smoking in your TL

 

I smoke once in a while before work and I do it while the car is still so the wind wont let the ash go inside the car and sometimes I treat myself to a nice Dominican Cigar.

Get some Cigars...you dont have to ash em as much and they taste and smell a whole lot better....YUMMMYYYYYY

And plus you look like a balla if you smoke one especially if you have a hot girl in the car with you.

 

whats with all the no smoking in the TL movement, rest assured guys, a little smoke every now and then isnt gonna kill the car, and it wasnt cigarette smoke, it was a lil bitta that bob marley smoke, and as far as ashes go any stray can be vacuumed up, no worries here....... i mean i feel like i bought my car, pay to maintain it, pay to mod as we all know that feeling way to well, why not enojy as much as i possibly can, i mean last time i thought about it my TL isnt gonna end up ina museum anytime soon....enjoy it while you can boys

my old gf dropped her cig and we couldnt find it while it was still lit. finally we found it under her seat like 5 minutes later still smoking.
