Question coilovers

Planning to get my car lowered sometime in the summer and I'm also debating springs vs. coilovers. My question is, how difficult is it to adjust the drop if I get coilovers? Can I do it myself and what tools will I need? How long does the process take?

If you don't mind the harshness of CoilOvers, I would go coilovers because you can adjust the height, as for the lowering(coilovers) jack up the car and use the perch wrench that comes with your coilovers and it usually takes about 40-60 mins. to do all four coilovers.

Like Tann said it takes about 40-60mins to adjust all four coilovers, and the tools that you need comes with it. Basically all you need is a jack and the wrench that it comes with.

Ok. Think I'll do coilovers b/c I want to adjust the height according to season in this area. Vision, tell me how those Apexi's turn out. How much are they? I don't see them on the parts page. I can't spend $1+g on a set like Tann did, but I can do $300-$400.

Apex-i are $850/ which are dirt cheap!!!
If you want to spend around $200-300, I go with Ground Control or SkunkWorks, but it only comes with the springs and not shocks, so you have to use your stock shocks or buy new ones.

if you've only got up to 400bucks...i wouldn't buy them. The more you spend on your coilovers, the better they'll turn out. You really do get what you pay for. i'm savin up for some NEX
