Post Coilover Difference....

Which one would you guys choose from a show of hands...

1)Ground Controls/Tokico Shocks
2)Skunk 2/Tokico Shocks
3)Apexi Coilovers

You guys would probably say Nex, but out of those three, what would you choose??

Out of those three,
I would go with the Apex-i, the shocks are tuned for those springs!
I'm not a big fan of mix-n-match suspension, unless the shocks are adjustable, then you can tune them!

I have the Ground Controls with Koni's. Whats nice about the Koni was that I was able to get a perch machined onto the shock to allow the coilover to sit directly onto the shock without extra movement. I think mix and match is fine if it works to your budget. The ride is fine and I have good control cornering. To be honest, I probably could not tell the difference with other high quality coil over sets like apex or tien.

If i get the Apexi's then there are no upper mounts so that means i have to use my stock ones, does that mean i have to compress the stock springs in order to use the existing upper mount?? Enlighten me... i probably dont even know what the upper mount looks like...details please...

No, you wont have to compress. The upper mounts is a piece that holds the suspension to the body. some upper mounts or upper pillow mounts, which there also called, have camber on them.. which is great cause you don't really need to go through the hassle of jacking up your car to adjust camber evertime you adjust ride height.
