Close to a stall
'03 type S with about 42K miles. Runs well but lately have noticed only on occasions that when coming to a stop the engine shutters like it is going to stall but does not. Never actually stalled. The perplexing thing is that it is intermittent and not really related to the speed just before the stop ie street driving vs highway. Could try switched gas as almost always use BP(Amoco). Any comments welcome.

Yea sounds like the IAC valve. When mine did that I had to chase it down with the dealer. As they said they could not do anything about it unless it "did it" when they had the car, and they code not find any code in the computer. I finally talked directly to the tech and he plugged in the OBDII and found a mis-fire code. He used that to get it replaced under warrenty.
Good luck with it and hopefully your service dept will be better than mine.

My 02 TL-S with 54K miles on it has started to run like absolute CRAP. Over the past 250mi it has progressively started to idol rough, shudder/hesitate during all types of acceleration and cruising speeds, and it has stalled on me numerous amounts of times. I ran the STP fuel injector cleaner in the previous tank and it still runs horrible.
I took it to Autozone to check any codes and there weren’t any triggered. I took it to the Acura dealership and took the service agent with me on a test drive to show him how bad it was running. They kept it for 2 days and then said they couldn't find any codes or anything wrong mechanically. They suggested I try to use fuel injector cleaner again! So now I have the Lucas injector cleaner in the current tank. I don’t think it’s going to fix any thing. GRRRRR!
Could it be possible that it is the IAC valve malfunctioning? Or am I looking at a different problem?
I have put the car back to stock except for the CAI and headers. CAI filter has just been cleaned.

My car does this, too. Only every now and then, though, not on a regular basis. And it has no problem with idling. I'm thinking it's not the IAC this time, and since it does it so infrequently and warranty is over for me, I'm just going to wait to see what happens.
