clock light issue...
the light on my clock has not worked for a while, I replaced the bulb and checked the fuse, but it was all good. Is there a known issue?

Mine's been out for a while as well. Don't have an answer for you but how difficult was it to get to the bulb? I have been living with having my tuner show the clock at night, but it's irritating because I prefer it to show the artist, etc. (Sirius Sat)

You have to take the cluster cover off, and there are only a few screws to do that. There are two above the gauges and one in the fuse cover area. Then there are clips above the right vent and the gauges. There are additional clips on the bottom near little cubby thing. It sounds a lot more difficult than it is.

Clock light is dim - is that normal?
Hey guys, when I bought my '99 TL the clock light was out. I read some of the DIYs here and replaced the bulb over the weekend - pretty easy. Thanks! However, I noticed now that the light for the clock is considerably dimmer thak the light for the climate control or the radio... is that normal? If I had to guess it's like 20 % as bright as the climate contol backlight. Since mine has never worked as long as I've owned it, I have nothing to compare it to other than the climate contol backlight. Can anyone confirm if that's normal?
Thanks!
Thanks!

The OEM clock light bulb is rated at 0.94W. What's the power output for the aftermarket one ?

Just to let you guys know. The light produced from the clock should match every other part producing light from the instrument panels. my clock light matches my HU and my cluster

The bulbs are 12V, 60mA, so does that equate to .72W?

That explains why the aftermarket bulb is dimmer than the OEM one. It has 23% less power output than the OEM one.
