Is the clock backlit [and other comments/questions]?

Newbie here. I just got my brother's 2000 TL, black, 103K miles.
Very clean-running car.

I called Acura, and they will do the oil jet Monday.
There is a camera inspection of the 2nd gear.
Does anyone end up with a free transmission because of a burnt gear, or is this wholly unlikely?

I ordered a new rearview mirror, cup holder parts, and a seat back clip.
Other than that, no modifications are planned for now.

Question: I notice the clock is dark, even at night.
Is it supposed to be back-lit?

Thanks.

Yes, it's supposed to be lit. See the DIY sticky, it's in there.

Ouch!

I've pulled my 850T dash apart, but didn't really want to start ripping into this car!

Thanks for the tip.

Whats the seat back clip for?

Are you trying to get rid of a noise? My car's drivers seat makes a noise (click click sound) when I go over very minor bumps and regular bumps.

Takes all of 5 min to do, 2 screws. Very easy.

As for the 2nd gear inspection, VERY unlikely. I still havent seen any one here with that inspection issue.

The passenger seat back. Maybe brother's Pack'n'Play, or something, grabbed the seat back cover. Ripped it right off the seat, and Dave never figured out how it attaches. The cover slides up onto the seat, and two clips attached at the bottom of the cover, insert [one way only] into holes in the seat.

I was able to remove one clip from the seat frame, but wanted another to make it complete.

parts ordered . . .

Thanks for the help.

I've ordered the clock bulb. And:

visor bulbs
AC air filter
engine air filter
cup holder components complete
rear view mirror [top 25% has become wonky]

I'll pick up 6 NGK Iridium IX spark plugs & anti-seize grease today.

Monday, Ardmore Acura is doing the 2nd gear oil jet.
I'm tempted to do the transmission oil replacement [they do 3 quarts] for $89.

However, I might decide to do it myself between now and tomorrow morning.

Plugs and air filters are all in

Mirror due any day now, but after reading a few posts, it seems like there is a free swap out of mirrors that have lost their silvering, and have changed color, like mine has.

I asked Acura about a recall, or perhaps service bulletin to replace the mirror is a customer complained, but they said, "No".

But in many posts, I read of a "Dani", and called the number [got recording, but it is not even 7am.

Is Magna Mirrors still doing pro bono swap outs of faulty mirrors?
