Post clock annoyance?

from what i have read, the navi cars do not have a viewble quartz clock like the non-navi cars? so is it part of the radio or what.

if this is true, does this bug anyone of you?

NAVI cars have the clock displayed on the NAVI screen! Either in the lower right corner when the live map is displayed, or in the center of the screen in a larger font when the NAVI is off...

Yeah, but if you shut-down the NAV, you get NO clock at all. That was really poor thinking on the part of Acura. A clock should be visible at all times.

The NAV uses voice for directions and when the voice comes on, the radio volume is lowered so you can hear the voice. It works with or without the radio on.

Thumbs up

thanks a lot lonny!

i haven't even bought the car yet and i am already thinking about a new system.

i know there is a way to rig up the navi for video input, so i thought about buying clarion's new dvd/radio unit with a separate face and installing an entirely separate audio system from the stock one. then add some kickpanels and tv headrests.

You can have the clock on just go to the small setup box push it then the screen will come up to adjust Volume, Brghtness & other things just push display off. This will have the large clock on in the middle of the screen. The only problem is the Nav will shut down after awhile to conserve battery power when the car is off. So if you are sitting in the car for awhile with the car off & maybe listening to the radio the Nav will go off for this reason.what you have to do is push a button for it to come on again.
