Clearing 1999 TL headlights

any way to clear the headlights on a 99 TL? other then using chrome tape to cover up the amber?

who told u to put chrome tape over the amber??... you need to open the headlight housing and pop out the amber piece.. that will give u the "chrome" illusion i think your looking for

yeah, its the same process/technique for almost every car out there. look for the DIY.

its basically taking the light off (bumper first)
putting it into the oven at 250*F (healt/soften glue)
separating the lense from the ballast
take out ugly orange amber
reheat glue and stick both parts together and hold tight together for enough time for glue to cool down

Test for leaks (turn hot water on and put headlight over smoke)
mount back on car.

KEEP DA GLUE AWAY FROM THE CLEAR PLASTIC...or it'll get f****** up!

the DIY has more details and pics, but this is all you gotta do.

i was told by the user @cur@-tl...that he used chrome tape over the amber reflector..and it works fine....he has pics...his car is one of the nicest ive seen

Well the proper way to clear your headlights is to bake them, open them, and remove the orange deflector, it is a pretty extensive process that must be done with care, but there is always other alternatives to cover up that orange.

awhile back a member got clear reflectors made to fit in place of the amber ones, but i cant remember who
