Here's the deal: I had the ClearShield applied to the '02 TL ($200.00) which covered the front 1/3rd of the hood, the mirrors backs, and the leading edges (corners) of the fenders. My questions are: Was that price outta line? They told me that there is not film available for the headlights and parking light housings. I have searched this forum and the CL forum & can't find it now, but I'm almost positve that I read of members that had it applied to those lights. I think the guy is bullsh!ttin me. Anybody that has had this applied to their 2002 TL, please respond with what parts of your car were covered and how much you paid. Thanks for any help...

 

I don't know what the ClearShield is made out of but if it's made from that 3M plastic, then I have something similar on my car. Mine's from a company called Stongard, though.

I also had a thicker, clear plastic applied to my headlights and my fog lights. They are warrantied against rocks breaking them now that this stuff is on them. Stongard called it their "Light Protection Kit." Actually, all my info is in my signature.

I have the xpel kit and put it on myself. I paid over 200 for the entire front end kit which includes the hood, front bumber and mirrors so I would say you got a good price on yours. Not sure how long that kit you have lasts but the xpel is guaranteed for like 4 years. They sell headlight kits as well which I chose not to buy but may still do so in the future.
