Cleaning Ice Box Filter

Hey y'all,
I did some searching but did not get a lot of information about cleaning the Ice Box Filter. I read the instruction on CT website and it states that the filter needs to be cleaned and oiled every other oil change. So, does it mean every 10,000 miles ? Also, do I have to use the cleaning kit from CT to refresh the filter ? Does the cleaning kit from K&N work as well ?

Please advise.

Thanks.

I think it will be good you clean it every 6000 miles, " just like every other oil change" becuase mostly people change their engine oil every 3000 miles. For the cleaning kit I will use what comptech recommanded, even they are just degreaser and filter oil beside I assume both cleaning kit from K&N and comptech are about the same price.

Do you guys know if there are detailed instructions on how to clean the filter, with what products, and how long?

I've gone about 3 oil changes since my icebox, so I think it's time to get mine cleaned/changed.

Thanks in advance.

"Your Uni filter should be cleaned
at each oil change or when it looks dirty.
Just spray on, let it soak for a couple
minutes, rinse with warm water, and let
dry. Re-oil with Uni filter oil."

I clean mine every other change. It's extremely easy. I purchased the UNI kit from a local motorsport (motorcycle / watercraft) store for same price as Comptech's minus the shipping charges.

Thanks for the info. I have just placed an order from CT website. Hopefully the shipping does not cost much to ship to the same state.

Cheers !!!
