Cleaners:
Dip a Microfiber towel in a bucket of warm soapy water and ring out really well
Use another damp microfiber towel to clean off any of the soap. Just soak this one in warm water.

Protect:
303 Aerospace Protectant

I picked up 2 microfiber towels at my local WalMart for about $4. Just check the automotive care section, and you will see them. They are definitely labeled "microfiber." Hope that helps.

NSXNEXT's approach to cleaning the interior with mild soap and water and a microfiber towel seems sufficient for minor cleanings. I need to research that 303 stuff myself. A lot of people on the board use it for the interior. Heh, I've been so concerned with getting my exterior in tip top shape, that I've kind of ignored the interior. You wouldn't believe how freaking dirty my silver beaut is, and I just bought it a week ago today! Me, a few hours, and a clay bar are going to have some fun this Sunday.

What is Claybar? Where do you get it from. I usally just wash, wax & wipe off.

I wouldn't mind buying the 303 from the internet but that extra S & H cost just bothers me. However I dont even know where a boat shop is at in OC.

The interior of our cars, especially the area of the shifter & cup holder is so sensitive. Just droping like keys or little stuff like that really damages it so much.

Well, I used to as well. The Clay Bar is a must. No one can argue against the value of claying your car. It might look the same as a normal wash/wax routine, but the feel is soooo smooth.

Read the following thread from the maxima.org board about claying your car. Goes over the whole process, brandnames etc. Juniorbean (a mod here) tipped me off to Mother's brand. I also got the whole Mother's claybar kit for about $11 at WalMart. Comes with Carnuba wax, claybar, and the lube you spray on before you actually clay the car. I get ahead of myself. Read this thread in its entirity and most of your questions will be answered:

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....5&pagenumber=2

P.S. I'm doing my car this Sunday for the first time ever.

P.S.S. Let me know if you can find a place that sells just the claybar and not the kit.
