Clay bar question

My TL-S is a few months old now, and as with any car the paint is no longer perfectly smooth. I've heard some of you guys talk about using a clay bar to get rid of those little bumps that washing normally can't.

My question is if there is any difference between the various clay bar systems out there? There are ones that have their own lubricant, others that just need water; 8oz, 16oz; blue, green, yellow.... Is it all pretty much the same stuff?

u can also use car soap mixed with water a s a good lube.

clay magic (from autozone) is a pretty good system. Mothers is also good, but it was more expensive.

check out that forum and use the search, there are lots of hints and suggestions.

btw, the color is related to how fine the clay is. red I beleive is for major paint overspray. yellow or whatever you get at the store is probably fine. the size just tells you how much clay you get - remember to cut it up so incase a piece falls you don't have to trash the whole thing. 1/4 to 1/2 should be enough for the whole car.

Just spray the lube on the car and wipe with the clay - you'll be left with a perfectly smooth finish. Follow with wax.
