Civic with TLS rims

I took a double take today when I saw a 94ish civic today with TLS rims on it slammed. It looked really good, actually. I know that we have 5 lug patterns and the civic is only 4. Is it that easy to change a cars lug pattern?

Now I have to worry about my rims getting lifted with the headlights if they become popular.

All of the civics are 4 lugs.. what the guy did is swap out his suspension for the 5 lug setup.. this is a popular thing to do, since the ITR and CTR are 5 lug.

please understand people that any car with nice rims, such as 4.4 X5, gs4 w/ 17 rims, IS3 rims, etc... also face the same challenge as us. dont worry though, with wheel locks, a thief would rather spend time on better, expensive rims

i seriously doubt that a civic had the TLS wheels. we have the bolt pattern of 114x5 while civics have only four lug. even if they get the 5 lug conversion, it would be from integra type r....which is only 100x5

wouldn't it be incredibly expensive, and not really worth it, to switch a civic to 5 lug??

and if you were going to go that far, why not buy aftermarket rims?

I don't know..but yeah, I think everyone here already pointed out that the Civic's are four lugs...but it isn't that hard to switch it out to a five lug and yeah, they should get aftermarket rims, but damn, those TL Type-S wheels look that damn good...so who wouldn't be tempted....I just wished some aftermarket company would just copy the TL Type-S wheel and make it in a 18"-19" version...hmmm... :licka:

It could have been the 95 GSR rims.

They were definately TLS rims on a civic.

Trust me... My last car was a civic and I know my Honda's.

Wrong, Integra R and Civic R are 5x114.3 (as well as the prelude, accord, etc). If Honda ever made a 5x100 pattern, I don't know what car it's on.

You can probably get the ITR/CTR setup for ~$1000 now and it isn't hard to install. People do it to civics and integras to get one step closer to the ITR/CTR.
