Post Choices for TL owners purchasing in 1-2 years

Hey fellow TL owners that are waiting to buy their next car in the next year or two. What are you patiently waiting for? My possible list is below:

I am thinking of the following:

1. Next Generation Lexus ES300 (2003 Model)
2. Next Generation Acura TL Type S (2003)
3. Next Generation Lexus RX300 (2003 Model)
4. BMW 530i (if I have enought money ;-)

Give me some more great ideas!

Thumbs up

1. 2003 Acura RL (V8 RWD NSX powered)
2. 2003-4 TL type-S
3. 2003-4 Lincoln LS V8 w/ sports package
4. 2003 Infinity Q45t

Although the Infinity and the new RL will probably hit the streets with price tags above $60k. Too rich for my blood.

I agree w/ acuraguynj except for the forth choice. I'm gonna have to go w/ the 2003 A4. That looks to be hot. I saw a thorough review somewhere, I think it was edmunds. I'll save the 5 series for later, I'm only 24.

Well, as I posted under a different thread that has now been moved to OT...
I might wait til 2003 just to compare the new Infinity XVL 2003(name to change for US). This is a nice looking car! I don't know much about it except that it'll be in the Acura TL and TL-S class.
They're aiming right at the BMW 3 series.
Rear wheel drive and that legendary V-6 will be on tap.
Here is the blurb from Edmunds:
"2003 XVL (Sport Sedan)
Over the next five years, Infiniti will revamp its entire product line in order to position itself as a direct competitor to the world's top luxury car manufacturers. To that end, it will drop the four-cylinder G20 as its entry-level sedan in favor of a rear wheel-drive six-cylinder four-door aimed squarely at BMW's 3 Series, Mercedes' C-Class, and the Lexus IS 300. A model known as the XVL in Japan will likely serve as the basis for the new sedan, but the XVL name will be changed for the American market."

Just saw the Acura TL Type S ad in Car & Driver and I do have to say even though I am waiting for 2003, you can't go wrong with this car. High performance version is intriguing.

But give me a sportier and more powerful Lexus RX300 (square it off like the new Toyota Higlander) and now we are talking about the possibility of a truck!

I'm waiting to see what Audi does in 2002 or 2003 regarding the S4. I have seen the pictures of the new A4 and I like it, but as of yet I haven't heard any word on the S4. I have always liked the looks of the A6 better then the A4, but I don't need anything as big as the A6 at this stage of my life. If the A4 is going to 220 hp the S4 will most likely get a boost as well. Or I might just get a 330xi.
