Chip for SportShift?

Hi all,
Looking to buy a TL-S, I test drove a CL-S over the weekend. I'm kind of like that previous guy who would much prefer a manual transmission, and am looking at VW Passat/Nissan Maxima/BMW 325-330/Solara/Audi A4/S4/A6. Due to some nice stock options, figure I could spend $40K, but would rather keep it closer to $30K.
Anyways, there were two kind of annoying things about the Sportshift. On the up-shift, it was fine except for a slight delay. On the down-shift, it was a bit on the harsh-side. I like to downshift going into corners and just slowing down. When I clicked down (again after a slight delay), the transmission would just snap into the lower gear, jerky everthing forward (kind of like snappying the clutch too quickly). On a manual, while you declutch, you can pre-rev the engine to make the downshift smoother. But because of the slight delay in the Sportshift, it was difficult/impossible to try this. I know for the similar BMW tiptronic transmission, there is a upgrade chip available that makes the shifts happen almost immediately. Is there such a chip available for the Acura SportShift?
It's going to be tough not having a manual, and I'm still not sure about the TL-S, but it does seems like the best value in the $30K to $40 region. I'm even considering waiting for the new Integra (200 hp, 6 speed).
One more thing. One nice thing about the Acura transmission is the ratio in 5th gear. At 80 mph, the engine was only reving at 2200 rpm (my current civic revs at 3600 rpm at 80 mph). Must be how they can still get 30 mpg on the freeway.
Thanks,
Isaac
