Checking VIN for tranny replacement...
I'm looking at a 2000 TL-P, and can't seem to track down how to find out if the transmission has been replaced already. Is it as simple as calling a nearby Acura dealership, or is there an online place to check or what? Thanks!

Okay, thanks...just checked that out, as well as called the Acura dealership.
Looks like the one I'm looking to purchase had a transmission replaced in 5/03. From what I've been reading on here, if it's gone once, DON'T buy it...is this right?
Edit: it has 69k miles
