man leave the tail light alone, dont tint that mess ur asking to be pulled over,
and if u ever get rear ended and there smart enough they can use that against you " o i didnt see him stopped his taillights are tinted" Trust me i work in a law office people come in and try to sue for everything

just a fyi tinting your head/tail lights = u can get your car towed as it is a violation of federal law to alter safety equipment. Most cops will just issue a fix it ticket/. Also if you are rear ended, they can hold you at fault........

Well the cops around here better step up to the plate bc all of their unmarked vehicles (tahoes/suburbans, chargers) have black tails.. Not to mention the limo tint

I had my tail lights tinted for maybe acouple months and they were 15%, never had a problem.
If u get a ticket, just fight it.
I dont rock a front plate anymore... if i get a ticket i fight it and show them a picture on my phone and it gets dropped everytime.

I didn't know that tinted tails were that illegal. I see cars with tinted tails all the time. Like almost every G35/37 I see has tinted tails but they also have those nice bright LED tails so you can still see their lights clearly.
I was afraid to tint my windows because of tickets but now I'm either going to go all out or leave everything stock. Or do 35% all around and just tint the red part of my tails.

^^ im pretty sure the law isnt as ironclad as some members are making it out to be.
the law states you cant tamper with safety equipment in any way...
and i was told by a retired cop that the law means you just cant tamper with the lights in a way that it actually affects visibility..
if you put limo tint on your lights and they arent visible in the day time, yes.. you will get a ticket..
if you tint your lights and they are still visible with running lights and break lights, nobody should ever give you any trouble.

tint your lights slightly, just to give it the darker appearance, and are able to notice some reflectant that the inside gives. for window tint, stick with the legal %. i believe here its 25%? could be 35%, one or the other, i'd have to search the other forum im on to be 100% sure. i agree with rockstar on his last sentance.

I have my tails tinted and have received multiple compliments, it looks good especially with a NBP car....plus it got rid of the ugly ass yellow turn signal indicator that comes on the 99's.
