Cheaper Roof Spoiler

Due to the high price of the Sarona roof spoiler, I have decided to fabricate my own. I am making the mold today and plan to make many more in the future. I'm most likely going to be using fiberglass, and selling these for about $150. Naturally I know you guys are going to want to see pics, but if I can get these things to come out the way I want, who would be interested?

I would be very interested for the right price and quality, but I'm afraid you will have to talk to the moderators about vendorship if you're planning on selling these in mass quantities.

When you are ready to sell, contact Smitty so you can be signed up as a vendor and pay your vendor fees.

It's South Jersey next to Cherry Hill. Hey I grew up in Collingswood, right next door.

How far are you away from Peapack/Gladstone, NSX?

Just curious. I was there last week visiting my friends. I'm going back in June but driving this time. NJ roads have some nice corners.

It's about an hour from my house. That area is nice (I used to work in Bedminster).

I have no idea where Bedminster is. Haha.

Yeah, Peapack/Gladstone was really nice. My friend drove by and showed me this gigantic mansion with like 28 chimney stacks, going for 30 million dollars. I was like, "who are these people?"

I need to do one of those get-rich-quick scams.

Next time I go out there, I want to meet some of the members. I saw sooooo many TLs while I was out there, I lost count. I'm sure I passed by forum members, too.

As NSXNEXT said, you must be an Official Vendor if you want to sell to the masses on AZ. Please contact the Admin if you are interested in becoming one.

Made the mold today.

Alright guys, I made the mold today, looks pretty good. I'm going to get some fiberglass and start up a prototype soon. As to whether it looks like the sarona one, I'm not sure, I think it may be a bit bigger, I'm still making changes. I'll post pics as soon as possible.

If you can make one king of like the audi's, something not to bulky, but clean and sharp like our cars.

Roof Spoiler

Just wanted to let you guys know that I havn't forgotten about this. As for the moderators, If I can get these babies to selling quality (I am a perfectionist, and would not sell anything I wouldn't put on my own car), then I will sign up as a vendor. As for the style/design, I am just going by what I think would look good. I won't know this until I make the first one. I am glad to see such a large response to this thread, however I will be making these one to two at a time (if I can duplicate the mold), so it may be a little while before I can get everybody one. I can't make any promises just yet as to when these will be done, but I will do my best. The one thing that you guys might be interested in, is that due to the design of the mold, I will most likely be able to make various sizes later on down the line, depending on your style and preference. While it may be some time before these become available, rest assured that as a college student who can't afford an OEM kit, I won't be buying a $300+ roof spoiler, so therefore I will not give up on this unless I am sure I can't create a quality product. I will keep you updated.

Keep at it, man! We all appreciate what you're doing, and I would love to put one on my car. The sarona one is way overpriced.

OK, I`m a newbie so pardon my silly question: what does a roof spoiler do and why should a person get one?

Creates downforce in the middle section of the car to provide better aerodynamics so we can go 290 mph.

It's purely cosmetic.

It's funny, the CL is a triumph of unadorned design. It is so clean, so smooth, so un-anything-designed-by-those-crappy-put-body-cladding-on-everything-guys-at,-say,-Pontiac. And yet, I would like to add something extra to mine!

For reference/contrast, here's the Sarona one: (their pic)

So this is completely frivolous. It has no practical function.

Put me on the list of interested parties.
