Changing TL Engine Mounts

[SIZE=2][COLOR=DarkSlateBlue]

I need to change the top passenger side engine mount. Has anyone done this?
What is involved, do I have to pull the engine out to this? Can I just support the engine from the bottom?

Normally you just support the engine from the bottom. You may have to losen the nuts on the other mounts to raise the engine slighty in order to install the bad mount. Get someone to print you the page from the service manual about changing the mount. BTW, how do you know that mount is bad?

mechanic

the mechanic that pulled my ecl showed me. inside the the little circle oppening where the mount is the rubber is all suppose to move together when the throttle is pressed. He pressed the throttle while I looked at it with a flash light. It had a crack in the rubber.

What kind of TL do you have? Miles?
Anything you notice with engine vibes or running rough?

What helped me out when figuring out what the F to do when stuck on anything on my 00 is a Chiltons for acura's. Trust me, it is one of the best investments you can make. It tells you exactly what you have to do if it comes to pulling the engine and just overall good info... cheap too....

The Chiltons manual is a piece of crappppp!!!!!!!!! Everything I have went to it for wasnt in there in the detail I needed, or wasnt in there at all...

Code P1259 is not in Chiltons
It doesnt say anything about the rear sub
It doesnt tell me how to change the Engine mounts
It doesnt tell me how to replace the Door lock actuator..

Its too broad and doesnt give enough information
