changing lightbulbs
Hey guys,
Can anyone provide a write up of how exactly to change the lightbulbs (low beam) on the car? I have a 00 tl.
I've searched the forums with minimal success. TIA

1. You open the hood.
2. Locate where your bulbs are.
3. Disconnect them.
4. Remove the rubber seals
5. Unclip the metal bracket that is there.
6. Remove the bulb.
7. Place in new bulb.
8. Then do everything that you did in reverse.

You'll need a tamper-proof Torx T-20 tool in order to remove the plastic covers behind the bulbs. The tamper-proof Torx tools have a small hole in the center of the star pattern. A regular Torx tool will not work.
On the driver's side, you'll need to pull out a couple of plastic vent pieces to access the bulb. On the passenger side you might want to move a fluid reservoir up and off to the side.
A mentioned above, don't touch the bulbs with your bare hands so you don't get any oils on them. Wear glove.
The Acura service manual recommends disconnecting the battery before replacing the bulb but be aware that you'll need to re-enter security codes if you have an OEM radio and/or navigation system.
