theres one question...i figured that the front grill wouldnt have to be replaced entirely...i think u can fit a honda oddysey emblem on there...also on the steering wheel, theres an A emblem...anyone know how to change that??
i went to the honda dealer for the civic badge on the steering wheel, but they said it comes together with the steering wheel as a whole..............does anyone know how to change the emblem??? i was thinkin of buying an intirely new steering wheel =P

Odyssey emblem on the grille??
Just get either INSPIRE/SABER grille.

 

inspire grill is same as stock 02 grill............only thing different is the A symbol...............im saying that maybe an oddysey H emblem could probably fit the factory 02 grill

 

You'd have to buy a new airbag, $500+ They do not sell just the emblem for obvious safety reasons. Some people have purchased an Acura emblem and glued it to the airbag. Not sure who did it though.

 

It'll probably fit, but not perfectly.

Acura emblem is round while honda emblem is most likely square.

JDM SABER Grille!! need input please.

Hope this answers your question numbaonexstunna,
When I was installing the Inspire front grille I noticed that the center piece of the grille (the center chrome piece with the H fits perfectly on our stock TL grille). So I guess you can just order the chrome piece with the H and the backing that holds the emblem on the grille. Mike (Value-TL) at Value-Caraudio can order the parts you need to swap out the pieces. The Inspire grille came in pieces and each of the pieces has a part number. I can get you the part numbers so that you can order what you only need. But I don't know how much the parts would cost each seperately because the grille was sold as a set.

P.s. You also need to reuse the screws from your stock grille to put the Inspire grille together.

What I did for the steering wheel was I bought a strip of Carbon Fiber looking vinyl stickering from a local shop. I laid it over the Acura symbol on the steering wheel and took an exacto knife and cut the excess vinyl sticker. BTW, the carbon fiber losks great with the ebony interior. I then placed a "H" (w/o the surrounding square of the logo) made out of red vinyl sticker in the center. Looks great and the red H really stands out against the ebony. It cost me about $3 cause there's a shop that sells custom vinyl decals where i bought the "H" and i just bought enough carbon fiber decal to fit my needs. I know its not JDM, but I don't have the money to spend to order a steering wheel from Japan.

Here's the part numbers:

Front Inspire H emblem
Part# 75700-S0K-J02

Emblem base FR grille
Part# 75711-S0K-J01

Chrome center piece
Part# 75110-S0K-J02

That should be all you need to change the TL grille to an Inspire one. But if you do want to get the whole setup just go to Mike's site and place an order. If not you can email him the parts you will need. He can get you any Inspire part you need right down to the nuts and bolts as he kindly put it when he replied to my questions I had about the conversion process.

I think the JDM grill is too expensive. The only difference your getting is the "H" so your paying $225 for a H....unless you get the Saber...now..that is a different story. if Mike can order the parts instead of the whole grill for a cheaper price..then I'm in!

You CAN order just the H and the center grille piece for the Inspire. I don't think the H on the Odyssey will fit, I checked it today.

Also remember if you need to change your 99~01 TL grill to a inspire or saber one you need the chrome outer piece. They are different on these models. The 02~TL grills use the same outer chrome trim piece as the inspire.

Really just slapping on a H emblem on your grill isn't exactly how the JDM looks. The chrome center trim is not the same also. I always liked the looks of the saber grill over the inspire grills.
