Changing gauge bulbs???

I know this was talked about before, but I couldnt find any final answers. I want to change the bulbs behind the instrument cluster to blue ones ( maybe something like VW ). I know "96TL" was working on it before...if anybody know where can I get replacement bulbs like that. Thanx

There is no "replacement" bulbs that can give you a deep blue hue. in fact. there is none. Everyone has installed LED's into the gauge and instrument panel area. And it took lots of money, work, and skill.

BTW, there IS a thread on it with part #'s etc.

Yeah I did it but it was for 95-98 TL's. You can still search for a few of my topics for reference though. I would also search NATE's topics. Most of the climate bulbs and switches are the same but the cluster isn't as well as the clock.

I just did my clock and AC today, the results are not that good The clock is very dim (no hot spots), the AC window has a hot spot on the left. I swaped the bulbs around and the hot spot is still there. I think it's the way the lightpipe is designed. I am also trying to get the LEDs behind the gauges. The hard part is that they are wedge bulbs. If they are the same as the AC + clock, it'd be easy.

I swapped a/c, clock and the LCD panel on the instrumental cluster. Total cost: $35 parts. It's beautiful...tatewaki, i answer your questions (above) via reply to your PM to me.
I didn't swap every bulb behind cuz I want the white color to constrast with the blue LCD panels...but I imagine if I do the whole thing, it'll probably cost around $100 (more) in parts $$$. I'm satisfied for now. sorry I was going to take pics but my damn camera is too cheap to take pics in the dark and pic doesn't show up well (blue color) in day time.
