Changing coolant in 2001...

Is it just a matter of draining the radiator, filling it up with distilled water, let it run, drain the water, and fill it up with Honda Coolant???

Is there an engine drain bolt that has to be removed to completely drain the system??? I'm still looking for used Helm's or CDROM...

There is a bit more to it than that. If you're just wanting to drain the coolant and top it off with new coolant, you can do that, however I would recommend a reverse flush.

You would disconnect a heater or radiater hose and pressure water through the system in a reverse flow. This is intended to dislodge any loose corosion in the system and you can then drain all the flush water out of the system. You would then reconnect the hose and fill with fresh coolant. You can get a reverse flush kit for a few bucks at any autoparts store (Advance, Autozone, etc) that has the hose fitting to use with your garden hose for the reverse pressure.

I am not sure reserse flush kit would work if you have thermostat installed. From I was told, the thermostat will only allow coolant to flow in one direction. I might be wrong.
