Post Changed tranny oil

At 15k - to get new car gunk out of there.

No big problems, except the bolts were really tight esp on the fill bolt - had to use a 1/2 breaker on it.

The drain plug is wrenched with a 3/8 square drive. Make sure you replace the washer (not necessary on the fill plug). The drain plug has a very good sized magnet on it, and it was coated with a layer of normal break in fine metal particles. I much prefer this to having to drop a pan

Does it look difficult to remove the pan to change the filter?

if you really loves your car, you should get 100% exchange of the old transmission oil rather than just a portion of it changed. many acura dealers now offer this service.

There is no pan on the TL. Remember, this is a transaxle, and the drain plug comes right out of the tranny housing.

I double-checked everything a week or so later and there is no leaking or weeping at the drain plug - remeber to use that new washer and do not over torque it.

I used Honda fluid from the bottle.
