changed my plugs and now no gas mileage

Hi guys - thanks for reading.
Simply put i have a 148,000 miles and i just changed my plugs for the second time around. I put in the NGK ix as recommended and i immediately went fromn getting 360miles a tank to 280miles a tank. no check engine lights, car runs smooth, nothing but gas mileage . what gives!

Ah..

your right. Please tell me all 49 years of your seafoam experience.

I'd love to know it so i can one day use it with full confidence.

Seafoam is dumb because there are so many things that can go wrong.

Just take care of your motor by doing proper maintenence intervals and oilchanges.

Did you disconnect the battery when changing the plugs?

you should not have to disconnect the battery and force an ecu reset just for new plugs
but if the old ones were toast--what did it have for plugs and miles?

Since you have issue with seafoam- which I did use in a pro shop in machine and now out of a can for my car--then product of your choice IS maitenance

You may need to clean the TB plate- you dont have a problem with that do you?
and the plug gap was checked in case you are the 2nd in a million plug that had one off?

ive run only 93 octane or more in my cars since i started driving.. oil changes every 5 k.. and fluid flush 2 times a year... it doesnt matter what you do... gunk will build up in your engine.. regular upkeep is NOT enough. and i'd probably listen to somebody twice your age about cars.. you might be suprised...

i agree 10000%...what a waste of time and money.

seafoam does not do anything...just like "injector cleaner" that you pour into your gas tank.
