Has anyone noticed a change in gas mileage when they put fuel injector cleaner in a tank of gas?

another thing, whats the most money you've spent on a tank of gas for your TL? $36.55 is my record, set the other day when I had to go to Shell instead of Sam's Club gas station.

hey allie, i've never put fuel injector cleaner in my TL, but i can say my record price was a few days ago @ SHELL (V-POWER of course).....$33 @ $2.17/gal.....on my other car i usually fill around $40. (20 gal gas tank).

hehe highest record was $4.49 a gallon for sunco 100 at the track...hehe, i don't even want to remember how much the tank cost. Man, but the gas here at the bay is like $2.69 a gallon for like 91 v-power and stuff...

I put in some redline fuel injestor cleaners and there's not that much diff for the first tank, but after the second tank u'll see the diff.

i consistently pull 31mpg on the highway and 24-26mpg in town. i have never seen an actual change from using the injector cleaner (on any of my cars for that matter), but perhaps my injectors weren't clogged enough to notice.

mine got worse after putting the injector cleaner in...I don't know what happened this time I only got 235 to the tank and the gas light was on when I pulled up to the pump...so what is that? 13 miles to a gallon. And this tank it is going back to normal I'm getting about 19 right now... So it's not really a problem, I was just wondering if this had happened to anyone else on the tank of gas they put cleaner in...

BTW the gas was 93 V-power for $2.16 a gallon. I guess its not as bad down here for gas prices as up north. Soon I'm going to have to quit driving b/c it takes me 5 hours to even work enough to afford a damn gas tank...I want my old job back LOL

I feel ya...had to do that driving between new orleans and hattiesburg while I was moving...I had 550$ in gas charges on my credit card for a month

Which injector cleaner so you use? the dealer puts some kind of BG product during oil change? I jsut measured it at 200 hiway and 35 city and had 28mpg in a 03 tl with 60k and never used the injector cleaner but will try after my 60k service and new transmission (today, for free).

yea ive been there had that. good thing gas is coming down a little. its down to 1.90 a gal.

ive never used it in my car which is now at 164,500 miles and ive always gotten good mileage

Wow thats an old thread...I had just figured I would try it to see if it would help my old gas pedal sticking problem. I've been trying to fix it for 2 months now (when this thread was first created). I can't remember the brand of the injector cleaner but I know they have about 12 different kinds at any Walmart or auto parts store

my car alwasy average 22-26mpg depends on the weather

i once made 42mpg on a trip from montreal to toronto!!! and i still avg 80-90mph all the time

my mileage difinitely improved after using STP Complete......... 2.30 a gallon in Brooklyn, 2.30X17gallons=39 bux.....but usually 32 since I dont go to empty but to the warning light.

350-390miles a tank with average city driving.

usually i do 23-25.....21-23 lately cuz of SS.....been beatin it around....fun as hell but almost got caught speeding like 10 times....i love SS.

On this tank my gas mileage sucks and I have no idea why. I normally get 25-30 mpg as a mix of city/highway.

i drive my tl 1000 to 1500 miles a week and get 30 mpg avg
i have never noticed a differance when using fuel cleaner but i have using prolong engine additive. i spend 30.00 a day on gas or about a tank a day or more

damn.. im getting about 19.. but i do alot of NYC, manhattan driving.. so it sucks. ive recorded about 36-40 dollars on average everytime i fill up in NY. but once i get back to NJ its about 4-6 dollars cheaper. which seems to make a huge difference. i dont do alot of highway driving since im either sitting in traffic to get into the city, or getting cut off by NY taxi's while driving down hudson river drive or broadway. NYC driving SUCKS! work pisses me off. although the pay is good.

I drive like a cabbie in NYC, always get to my destination pretty fast
