Center armrest too low

Anyone else notice the center armrest is too low to be functional? I'm 6'1" and I get a stiff neck and upper back because there isn't anywhere comfortable to rest my right arm, I drive left handed. My 2002 Maxima had an armrest to popped up for a nice fit. I love everything else about my TL, the ride, power, fit and finish except that I can't get comfortable. Any aftermarket padding or alternative to help out would be great. I've searched the net but I haven't had any luck.

It moves forward, just push towards the shifter and it will move forward, but not up! It's not quite like the Maxima armrest, my boyfriend has one and thats my favorite part of his car LOL!

I just want to make sure that you know the armrest moves 2 nothces forward. In case you didn't, pull the actual armrest forward (towards the head unit). It is intended to be an armrest, which is why it is adjustable.

i found the arm rest is just right, and sliding forward and backward. and not bothering your driving position at the same time

the maxima's armrest has been critizied for the comfort and position

For me, it's just perfect. Not too low, not too high.

Perhaps you could go get a cushion or something and use that on top of the armrest? I don't think there's one mass produced for our cars. But I'm sure any kind of cushion/padding would do.

Or lower your seat, that will make the armrest a lil higher.

I'm almost 6'3" so I hear you on this...before this I used to drive left handed and rest my right arm but seeing as that is uncomfortable I have switched to right handed driving which still feels wierd so sometimes I go 2 and 10.

what the freaaak. am i the only one that thinks the armrest is too high?? haha. being asian, only 5'6, i have trouble adjusting the ride height on the seat. its really awkward for me since the car itself is too big for me. im only like 145-150 pounds and was the shortest back in high school. everyone told me i shoulda just stuck with the rsx since that's my size, but i fell in love with the TL.
