Question Center armrest problems..

I have an 02" TLS. Everytime I go over a bump, my armrest pops open. This happened on my 01" Accord coupe also. Has this happened to anyone else? Can u fix it?

Its a warranty item if you are still covered, otherwise use a heatgun to warm up the plastic catch and give it a little bend. hold it in place til it cools. Wear leather work gloves when holding it because the plastic will get hot between your fingers. And DONT overheat it and melt it or ruin the leather.

Yeah...mine did that right off the lot. Warrantied, but the stealer was out of catches, so they took the piece out of a new TL on the lot to fix mine.

Maybe that was your TL...

open the top part only.. you'll see four screws. try tightening them and it'll stay on when you close it now.

i had this problem too, but once i tightened it, it was no problem and i didnt have to bring it to the dealer!
