CD Player
Hey guys, I remember one of you mentioning that your OEM CD player doesn't like burned CDs.....mine plays them but has this awful delay of like 20 seconds if you skip to a certain track before it plays on certain CDs. Its annoying as hell, especially since my old car and my parents car don't have this problem. I remember one guy saying the dealer swapped his out. I'm assuming this is expensive??? I know that's not grounds for a "free" warranty repair. I am putting mine in the shop soon for a few minor warranty items like the climate control, rough idle, and to see if the airbag recall has been performed. Just wondering what you guys do

Since I started using Maxell Audio CD-R's and burning at 12X every CD I have burned plays fine. When I was using other brands at higher speeds, most CD-R's either wouldn't play at all or they would take forever. BTW my TL is a 99. Hope this helps.

i use TDK cd's and i burn at 48X and they work perfectly, no delay... but after i used all of my cd's i bought like 150 of them... i can't seem the find the exact same ones i used to have, so now all my new cd's don't play at all, or has a super long delay. Though i did just get a set of RiData cd's that have a delay, but still plays...

each cd player is different. it didnt matter what brand i used or what speed they wouldnt play and many other members have had that issue too. some have had luck with the dealer replacing the headunit under warranty (if you still have warranty)
