i hate CATZ fog lights, i bought the xSX from a dealer which told me the look like the real deal HID, it was installed on the maxima, and the quality of it is crap. although it is really bright, if you get within 20ft of someone itll look like high beams. the only good beam color (HID) fog light from catz is the MSX. i rather have piaas tho.

NighthawkBlack- thanks- that was just what i needed was a picture. i was wondering if your using the inspire fog light switch too? and if there were any suggestions you might have with the install, like maybe there's something you wish you had done. do you have any pic's in the daylight. if you have a digital camera, could you take more pic's and email them to me?

Sorry no pics for a few days. My TL is covered under a foot of snow. I've been using my old car. Yes I used the Inspire switch. I had to cut off a little bit of the two lips that come out behid the bumper. I primed and repainted it so it would't rust. Don't know what I would have done differently. Maybe figure out a way to shape the fog trapezoid hole with bondo and repaint, but then if a bulb went out it would be a problem. I'm working on the interior stuff so when I get those pics up I'll get a close one of teh lights. Good luck.

Post CATZ MSR foglights

does anyone have the catz brand foglights? how do they rate with piaa and the others high-end brands, are they a cheaper brand? i know nothing about them. this weekend i saw a pair of MSR's and they looked clean. i would be installing them in the foglight area hole in the bumper. i hope you guys/girls can help me out with my decision. here's the link http://www.fet-usa.com/catalog4.htm

Although I do not have the Catz MSR, I have the Catz MSX on on of my cars since 97, and I really like then. I also have PIAA 110oX on my other car, and although I like them too, with those two models the Catz is a bettr quality unit. My MSX feels solid, while my PIAA feels more fragile. My Catz has all metal contruction, including the mounting hardware, while the PIAA has a plastic mounting base. The Catz has a much better rocker type switch that feels solid, while my PIAA has a cheap plastic like push button switch that feels flimsy. I really can't complain much though, as even with all that, it works. I had the Catz since 97 as I noted with no problems, and so far the PIAA has worked flawless, but I ony had them for about 3 months. My friend has the Catz SP, and that was another solid light.

Oh, by the way, those PIAA 1100X hyper whites that I have supposed to be PIAAs HID look alike. They are bright, but don't look like HID at all.

Hey pp,

Did you order your inspires from Tim? I want to get some too but I wanted to make sure they fit the 01 nicely. I saw your car at the meet but I didn't get a chance to ask you about it then..

WOW! If city lights make headlights that much more blue than screw the aqua capsules. But how do you drill through the headlight without making particles get inside?
