Will an accord 98-02 v6 catback fit on a 01 TL perfectly? If not what mods need to be done to make it work?

 

hey yunginTL just installed a magnaflow catback on my 1999 tl it is made for the v6 accord , the fit is great the only modification to be done is the resonator pipe has to be extended 2.5 inches ,, my friend actually cut the short pipe off the resonator and welded a new stainless pipe which was 2.5 inches longer ,,the exhaust is a perfect fit now ,,the tips are about 1.25 inches in from the rear bumper line, which i like and the sound is awsome.... hope this helps danny..oh and the part # is 15640 ........

 

yeah, it should fit with a slight modification. obviously not perfect, but you'll need to get the muffler shop to weld a short pipe to make it fit nicely. but that's not a hard thing to do. those muffler guys shouldnt charge you that much extra for it either.

the tips are about 1.25 inches in from the rear bumper line and the tips hang about an inch away from the bumper,, this is adjustable by bending the exhaust hangers on the mufflers downwards .....

been mentioned a lot of times......

the accord and CL will fall short, you will need a muffler shop to extend the pipes, which is around 50-75 bucks on average
