case number 203409281...
OK, I am the one-billionth TL accident this year. To make it as short as possible, there was a yield sign to make a right onto a street. I looked to my left an saw that traffic was open for the car ahead of me, so I assumed she would go and continued peering over at traffic to determine my spot. Well she didnt go. I just bumped into her. IM SO STUPID. Anyways we discussed it calmly after she got out of the car kinda on fire. The damage on her accord was a popped out bumper...like the right side came out some. Looked like a simple job that only required snapping it back into place. My rough estimate would be 2 or 300 depending on where she goes (hopefully to my friend's suggested shop that gives him a discount). My TL also suffered little. The front bumper is a little lower than it should be...meaning there is a bit more separation between the bumper and the headlights now. I dont feel like fixing it. Probly will leave as a reminder to not be so stupid. Anyways, Ima pay off that girl in cash, cash that I was saving for a sportbike .

how can you respind to such an incident with such maturity? I woulda been...ok, you are right, nevermind. Glad it was so minor though. I had a car bump me b/c the driver did not see me on the turn and "bumped me" and I did something to my back b/c I was turned to look too. Oh well, like I said, I am glad everyone was ok.

Women Drivers... Sheeesh!
You should have told that girl to learn how to use the gas pedal!!
I get those all the time, freakin brake happy and stopping to short when you are behind them!

My friend in the passenger seat was saying WHOA WHOA WHOA...I didnt understand what that translated into until I heard the crashing. As soon as I hit her I was like, oh craaaap! It was LOUD too...I was afraid itd be worse. Will post pics later though. When the two girls got out of the car, I was just like, sorry sorry, lets get this shit out of traffic and we'll talk this thru. They were kinda mad to say the least. ARG...fellow TL owners...we have been cursed somehow...beware...

That's why I always wait until the car in front of me moves before I start going. I almost got into the same accident a few weeks ago. I'm glad everybody is all right.

damn danny..... this is not coincidence. I got into the EXACT same kinda accident about 30 minutes ago and my front end looks EXACTLY like yours!!!!. This is freaky. I'm still deciding whether to do something about it. My seperation is very little as well... how much you think it'll cost to repair... or should i just leave it since its barely noticeable.

I think this is a relatively easy fix for anyone...
1)take off the bumper
2)take a careful look at the inside and see if there is obvious damage
3)if there isn't obvious damage, the separation might be caused by an increase in the gap between your headlights and the sheetmetal that bumper goes in between
4)if this is the case, get a hammer (covered with old t-shirt) or a rubber mallet and lightly pound it back into place by checking the non-damaged side, once the gap has filled in, carefully assess any other damage, and do a minor fix if needed
5)put the bumper back on
6)wax the hell out of the bumper, to make it smooth again...
I can't believe i just typed all that...

Is taking off the bumper and stuff exactly like the new accords do you know? and does it look exactly like the accord between the headlight and the bumper? Cause my friend has done stuff to his accord and I might just have him help me out on fixing this crap.

Hey, danny, where did this happen at?? That sucks, atleast nuttin happend to urs. Yours can be fixed at home. This thing under the bumper cover can be adjusted to close that gap you have between ur headlights. I know this from taking my bumper off to clear the lights. I had a big gap, i took it off and adjusted this thing.... and fixed it. I would try to help ya, but i work ALOT, tryin to pay off my accident... heh... where ya from? Maybe i could help ya out someday...

hahaha...this post is fricken hilarious...
not being mean or anything...
but this girl REVERSED into my PARKED car like this...and the EXACT same marks appeared on my car i got estimates and they came out to $400...but when i went to my beloved imperial body shop...it came out to about 250....(painted the front bumper and adjusted for the gaps)
but guess what...someone else rammed my front bumper while i had my front plate on (due to fix-it tix) and i now have an indentation where the license plate braket is....DOH DOH DOH....

Danny, man, when I heard the description of the accident, I KNEW THAT SHIT WAS AT CULLEN AT THE EXIT. It happened to me once too (in my prelude). I was behind this girl, she scooted up a bit, i was focusing on the traffic to the left, and bam! i hit her only at like 5 mph though! We took a right, then took another right across from the wendys and talked. She said it was the loaner from the mechanic and told me to forget about it. Yo, that ****ing place has an accident every day! someone needs to do something. every day i see people stopped out side, talking on that street across from wendys. As far as the minor scruffs, maybe you can try Meguiars Soft Scrub. I have used it on parts, and it works well. Then, buff, or if not needed, skip that and polish then wax. touch up paint the rest. from your pics it didn't seem too bad. HOpe it turns out cool

This is CRAZY! I almost got in an accident going to UH in my old car a few years back, except someone almost nailed me. I wish they would have too. You have to be REALLY careful in that area around that Wendy's.

You guys need to take your time, pretend that you are at a car strip and you are showing off your car or cruising. You know, ever since i've had this car i developed a lead foot, but i keep reading about these accidents so i have to take it easy, its hard, oh so hard!
I've also realized that no matter how fast you drive everyone will catch you at a red light! Unless you are having a friendly race then its kind of useless to speed every where. Just my two cents

Yo, 300 bucks is not bad at all... good for you. Look at it this way, 300 bucks wouldn't have even been a real start for a bike. Most you would have gotten is an average Helmet or jacket....
Good luck tho man
