Unhappy

It doen't look the price is coming down soon as the sales is going strong:

Maybe Acura will feel some pressure when the new ES300 comes out.

Well that will be good for me....
When does the new ES 300 come out.

Hopefully soon to drive the price of the TL-S down a bit more.

You may also want to try the eAcura thing if you have participating dealers in your area. The internet manager at Rosenthal Acura in MD told me that the current "special internet" pricing for TL-S/nav is $1200 below MSRP.

I can’t speak for the rest of the nation, but in NJ buyers should be looking for around $1,500 better than CarsDirect.com price on a TL-S. This was the sort of deal I was offered (after some negotiation tactics) in March and May at two different dealerships. Unfortunately I was short of cash on those occasions.

Eventually I picked up my silver/ebony TL-S - w/o Navi, w/OEM rear wing and body kit - a couple of weeks ago from a third dealer, (Bridgewater Acura), after cruising here, shopping around the competition (and saving my cash!) for more than 3 months. No negotiation/no hassle! $31,700 - my educated (?) price. CarsDirect was at more than $32,000 w/o OEM stuff at the time. Mats, cargo net, wheel locks, security etching were included. Tax & plates were extra.

I'm not claiming any "best price"; simply saying that current web prices shouldn't put you off. I'm sure seasoned negotiators can do much better!

Go and name a sensible price and enjoy!

Thanks guys/gals for making this forum so useable and helpful. I now know where to apply all the WD40 & Velcro

Hopefully I won’t need anything else for the next 150,000 miles.

Carsdirect.com does not have competitive pricing. The internet sales dept. of the dealerships can do better. Check all the past threads on this site, you'll see many paid under 32K for their TL-S w/nav. I paid 31,200 w/nav then I added the spoiler to get to just under 31,900. This does not include tax/tags and reg. Don't let the dealerships tell you it's a hot car and they can't come off msrp. It's being done all over.

Talking

Carsdirect does not have competitive price. I tried that
it ends up only few hundreds off the MSRP (area code 94587).

I got my TL-S w/ Nav for $31130. That's $700 over
invoice. When I visited dealership here in Bay area, CA, most
of them have at least 3 or 4 TL-S w/ NAV sitting on the lot.
It does not seem to be difficult to get it.

When I got my 98 Accord EXV6 Coupe back in 1998, it
was really tough to get one because it was a new model.
Not too many dealership has one on the lot for
too long. In addition to that, stock market was very
strong and people didn't mind to pay MSRP... That made
it really difficult to bargain.

So I believe it should be easier to negotiate a better price
for Acura.

Hope it helps,

They are ADVERTISING TL-S for 28,500

In DC at Pohanka. Does not include freight or "handling", so the delivered price in ~$29k. I already have one @$29.5k, so, I did not bother to call and confirm the small print BS. There has to be some issue (demo, etc.)

Anyway, I would pay no more than $29.5k+/-. It is a doable deal in the Washington DC area.

I got mine at Pohanka Acura in Chantilly (DC area) for $1200 under MSRP.

when I was talking with the sales manager he was saying that they are the second largest dealer (mover) of Acura's. The biggest dealer is in Florida somewhere.

Maybe someone from FL might be able to get the name of that Dealer. Might be worth a call to see how much they are offering. The manager was touting how big a competition it was. You could mention you were going to buy at Pohanka...maybe start a price war....

who knows..

my 2 cents

Angry TL-S w/ navi in Los Angeles

Here's the pricing I found today.

I tried to match other LA posters that said dealers would do TL-S w/navi including destination, splash, and locks @ $30,700.

Keyes Acura said they would beat $30,800 (Ted) two weeks ago. But today Dan, the fleet manager, backed off that statement and said he would move it for $31,496 (he wanted $800 over cost).

Tustin Acura (Renee) yesterday said no way despite leading the bidding war in March for a 01 TL-P w/ navi (but that was John before). No way probably because they didn't have the color

Santa Monica Acura (Marta <--she's worth paying every extra cent to be around her) never got to a number, just kept bashing my bid. Besides, she didn't have the color.

I think South Coast and Cerritos will be willing to play if they have the color. I'll check with them and let you know the end (hopefully successful) result.

Anyone know the actual cost on the splash guards and wheel locks? Also, what is the cost of the trunk tray?

Thanks and happy driving.

Thumbs up $32, 109.00 TLS/w Nav

Is what I paid at Tischer Acura in Laurel, Md. I got with it wheel locks, cargo net, and at a discount mud flaps and trunk wing for $500.00 installed. I think I did good and after almost 4500 miles not one breakdownd, squeek, rattle, loose anything. I am really impressed. I hope it holds up as well as my previous Nissan Maxima's. I will be install Comptech Sport Mufflers this weekend and that will be it. Park and enjoy only on the weekends.

Over at Radley Acura - Falls Church, VA, it is $1,250 under MSRP. But after tax, tag, etc. it is pretty much MSRP price. So I decided to order one, 1 1/2 weeks ago. Still waiting.
