Carpet Question

Hey Guys,
I was thinking about changing the color of my interior carpet since it's stained up pretty bad anyway. My question is that since alot of the aftermarket companies don't make a mold for an 2003 Tl Type-S, would any Honda Accord 98-02 4 door mold fit?

Thanks
Brian

I'm thinking - probably not. As I recall, the back seat of the TL is stretched a few inches. The front might fit pretty well, but not the back.

As someone mentioned, the TL has a longer wheelbase than the Accord, and alot of it comes in between the front and rear seats. My guess is the carpets are not interchangeable.

My advice would be to visit a pro detailer. You\'d be surprised on what stains they can get out.

I agree. I had a good friend who worked at a detailing shop and they could pull out some pretty nasty stains. Red Kool-Aid, blood, oil, etc.

This will be a much cheaper option AND it will save you time and you can keep that factory fit.

Thanks guys for the advice. I guess if the detail shop doesn't work, then I may have to do a custom carpet install since I wanted to change the color also.

or you can just dye your carpet another color
it is possible to do it on your own, is cheaper (all u need is a nylon brush and dye), and u have more options color-wise

I was trying to find it in white (just for car shows) but I can't find any company that even makes a mold. Is it new at the dealer for $258.00?

You're gonna have to wear little nurses booties when you drive your car to keep it clean! Even if it is just to a show.

I used to own a detail business for a few years. Try dyeing it first. go to the food store and buy Rit Dye, very simple to do, if you are thinking about buying new carpets you cant go wrong at least trying the dye first for the stinking 3$. especially if the interior is black, it just brushes over everything. I always used it on the tough carpets instead of trying to scrub out stains, just dye them. good luck

Thanks for the tips guys, I actually didn't even think about the dye, but im not sure if its going to look "show worthy", but i actually don't drive the car that much so keeping it clean would be no problem.

Plat....> The carpet would go great with the new upcoming custom work ; )
