Horrible paint is all I got to say! I was fillin up the gas tank when all of a sudden some gas just squirted out onto that area where u put gas in. I thought nothing of it, so I wiped the gas off and holy Sh*t, the paint came off along with the gasoline! I thought to myself WTF?! Anyways I'm pissed right now cuz that could really rust easily, so just be careful when fillin gas guys.

Ugh, nasty! Yeh, I'm really paranoid when gassing up as well. I always stand close to the gas tank door while filling up... I remember I used to use gasoline to get paint off of my hands!

that happened to me a few years ago

there is now a blank spot on little lip just below the fill cap
i havnt done anything about it, it hasnt gotten worse/better
touching it up would probably make it looks worse. spray painting is probably the best way to fix it. but im hesitant to take a bottle of spray paint to my car. i only see it every time i fill up, so i dont mind it

i think the paint in the gas door is cheaper than the body paint

ever since then i get a paper towel and stuff it under the gas nozzle while take it out of the tank

ferraris have this little flap that come out and leans on the body to catch any gas that may have spilled. i made one for the tl, but it got a little pathic and i ditched it

Whatchu do is remove it from the hole -- but still have it in the filler part, tap it a few times, then rotate it so the nozzle is facing up and then remove
