you realize that ebay isnt a brand of carbon fiber hood right?.. you can find people selling very good name brand ones or shitty ones.. it just depends on what seller you get it from..

from my experience, the reason other brands are more expensive is because they are stronger and have better fitment which seems to be major concerns. too bad theyre so big and hard to ship cuz "tryin one out" doesnt really work. good luck man.

Yeah the price of the hood is not bad but when you add the shipping cost which is close to double it's ridiculous.

From what I have heard...you want to stay away from auctions that have a low sales price and ridiculous inflated shipping.

As we all know...it is basically a gimmick because it is roughly the same retail price but that changes their listing order when filtered by price.

The reason why I stress the caution is that if you have to get involved in a dispute with the seller...shipping costs are not typically refundable.

If they "over-charge" for shipping...I'm heard you will not get that money back.

So...my friends and I do not purchase those items to avoid this possible "complication."

Again...just a word of caution but something to def. be aware of.

werd i agree with Noah. Shipping charges you dont get back you only get back what you paid for the item. Plus they start the bid low so it wont cost them hella money through ebay.

They are the original manufacturers...

Might be able to find cheaper on other sites though.

[QUOTE=And Good LUCK with getting CF parts for our stuff......[/QUOTE]

I'm looking at getting some custom CF stuff fabricated for my car. At the moment I am in discussions about the engine cover. What else would you guys be interested in? Maybe they could do other parts for us as well.

i cant stress this enough with everything.

Ebay parts are simple. You get what you pay for. There is no guarantee that it will fit, there is no guarantee that its even real carbon fiber. The true way of telling is being able to see through it in direct sunlight. If you can't... well then your SOL. and seeing as how your asking too many questions about this, puts doubt in your own mind. I wanna say there is a 30% chance that the hood willl fit perfectly.

Sorry man, dont cheap out on your car. Get a good quality part that has been fitted to the car, and has been tested for durability, flex and strength.

Sup Kiran. The guy I am talking to is KB1Spec who is mainly on the 3G forums. He has a fabricator who did his car up nice in CF. We are talking trunk, spoiler, interior trim, engine cover etc. I asked him if he could do an engine cover for me and he told me to send my engine cover in so that they could get a better idea. By wrapping I believe you mean overlaying? I think they can either do a mold or an overlay. Apparently he believes an overlay would not be able to handle the heat on the engine so right now we are looking at molding it.

Would it be the same size for a 2nd Gen CL?

Pretty sure...

If you could please find out some pricing that would help generate some more interest.
