Carbon Fiber

Hey all, I want to do a couple of things to my car, but the first thing that came to mind I didn’t want to do because I don’t know too much about the reactions of different exhausts in the TL-S so I am interested in Shedding the pounds off the car to make more speed is probably the best way to add horsepower,,,,,, (well you know what I mean) then ill just work on the Add ons, so I am interested in adding some carbon fiber components to make the car lighter. And I am curious to know if that would look good on my Green TL-S and the ones who are ANTI-RICE don’t flame I just want suggestions and answers I am not a ricer but at the same time I figure there aren’t too many who would suggest putting them o my car, but anyway WHO MAKES THEM AND WHERE CAN I GET EM AT A GOOD PRICE????

what the f are you talking about

might wanna retype that so its a little easier to understand....basically before you go for add ons such as intake,exhaust, pullies, headers etc. you want to drop some weight?

There arent much you can do. Unless you get the cf hood i had one and yes you can feel it being much lighter but nothing major different.

ur not gonna gain much without stripping the shit outta ur TL.

for every 100 pounds u'll prolly cut down .1 in the quartermile, not worth it to me!, specially not in a TL.

TL has ballz, but it isn't exactally a car to be stripped out. You would probably end up losing luxury features that make the car a TL. I'd recomend looking into another vehicle to strip out and transform into a little street rocket

the hood is pretty much it, rims and body panels are light...nobody makes cf trunk and unless you want to remove interior components there's prob a max of 200lbs to remove at a very high cost. mod the engine and suspension first yo!


hood prob weighs under 100lbs but CF is a nice addition to your color...with nbp and ssm looks good too. NEVER use CF hoods on a red, white or light colors to be general w/ only exeption of yellow otherwise is plain
