I think you should dry everything before you start the car. Then take it to the dealer. If water did went to the engine, I sorry to tell you that your engine is history.

Three Wheelin'
DO NOT START IT! When there was a flood down our block at school, my friend decided to take it through to see if we could make it because several other SUV's made it. It was a 1995 Jeep Cherokee and when we went through it, the car stalled. We ended up pushing it through and when it was all set and done, the car wouldn't start. So we kept trying for god knows how long and then all of the sudden a big bang and fluid was pouring out of the engine. Turns out that the Piston flew right out of the engine. It was through and had to be rebuilt. so take it to the dealer immediately.

take the spark plugs out... ALL OF THEM!!!!!!!!! Pretend like your starting the car and roll the engine over a couple times. You should see water come flying out of the spark plug holes. Get a shop vac and vacuum the inches of water out of the cabin. Your gas should be fine but a bottle of HEET couldn't hurt in the gas tank. Drain your oil and ATF transmission fluid, replace it all, use a new oil filter. Take off your airbox and empty any water in it. Check to make sure your throttle body isn't soaked. Open all the doors, windows, moonroof, hood trunk, and let the soaked baby dry in the sun!!
squirt a little starting fluid near the air filter, put the now dry spark plugs back in and fire it up. If that still doesn't work you might have water in the gas tank, though it's unlikly.
GOOD LUCK!
