Or you can just get it fixed. See if you can get the carwash place to fix it or maybe going back to Acura

Yep, I'd never treat my TL that horribly and subject it to a machine wash...

Yea, stay away from those machine washes. I was unfortunate enough to put my TL through one and it cames out with scratches. Now I strictly hand-wash my TL only.

i'd have to disagree...i machine wash mine all the time in the winter...and i have perfect paint...just be selective with which ones you use...

No machine-washed car will have the lustrous paint quality of hand-washed cars, even if you don't develop the noticeable scratches immediately.....but after a year or so, the car's paint develops an old and decrepit look about it with swirl marks that stare out at you....then blame Acura for "Poor paint quality"....

just my 2c

there was only one time i sent my car thru a automatic car wash and that was right before taking it in to the shop to get repainted anyway, but all the other times it's hand washed, in the winter i take it to a spray wash place!!

Never go through a machine wash. I've made a ton of money buffing cars of people that go through them. The scratches are caused by dirt from other peoples cars that get stuck on the brushes. Over time these build up and dull the paint. It might not be noticable untill you see another car that has been hand washed. Winter is the worst time to use them due to all the small salt and sand particles on the cars. My cars have never been through a machine and never will.

BTW, they will pay to get any damage fixed. This guy came to me with a week old black GTP to try to get scratches from a machine wash out. I couldn't and the car wash wound up paying for a new paint job.

I don't know about everyone else.. but I find that one of the most relaxing things to hand wash my TL myself. And then detailing it to make it look nice. I don't think I would enjoy washing other ppl's cars though unless it was a bling bling ride like an NSX or something.

My car gets me to work everyday. The least I can do is take care of it and wash it.

I have never taken my car in the machine wash and never will.
