car rocking when starting it in cold weather
When it's really cold outside and it's been a while since I started my car, it rocks back and forth when i start it,but only once,is this normal?

It could be that your motor mounts are on there way out. Define rocking? Like the entire car shifts when you turn it over?
There are a couple threads on bad motor mounts which describe how to test to see if yours are bad. I think that you need to have one person turn on the car while another person looks at the engine and how much it shifts when you start it up. I hope this helps.

It's just all those conecting rods and crankshaft weights trying to move through cold/thick oil in the oil pan.
I put in a factory engine block heater ($35 ?) and it never rocks when I have it plugged in overnight (though it doesn't take that long to warm up the block.
