Car Review.com - What's Going On?
Have any of you read the reviews on Carreview.com recently.

They are absolutely horrible. I'm not sure if someone is going on there and writing multiple reviews with the sole intent of degrading overall opinion on this car, but nearly all of the past 20 reviews are terrible - from thin paint to transmission replacements to wandering steering on the highway.
I'm not sure about the others who are still researching this car for potential purchase, but I am getting awfully confused on what to go with. I am basically at the point where I don't think there is a car on the market right now worth my $30,000 odd dollars.
Acura better hit a homerun with the 2004 TL. I recently test drove the Mazda 6 and was quite impressed with the leap this Mazda has taken in handling and quality - but the car is still quite underpowered against its competitors. The G35 is just simply not aggressive looking enough for me, the Maxima comes with a crummy 4 speed autobox, the Altima interior is just not up there in quality not to mention its appearance, and toyota's got nothing. I am in the market for a japanese car and right now and I honestly think there is nothing worthy on the purchase. I never thought I would have to do it but I may just have to splurge on the ubiquitous 3 series - terrific machine but so overpurchased and utterly boring to look at.

Why are you going by magazine reviews?
Have you even taken a test drive in a TL?
IMO, there is nothing better out there for ~$30K. Yea others might have something better like more hp but the overall package of the TL/TL-S can't be beat.

Bump to Blackshadow! Two weeks ago I traded my TL, man did I regret it. Now they sort of need me to show some kind of proof of income. This is my chance to get my baby back, wish me luck fellas! For 30g's or even 35, the TL cannot be beat! Love my hopefully mine again, Acura!

Magazine reviews suck a$$. These forums are a better source for opinions.
10MPG...what a moron!!
Try filling it all the way up next time and not resetting your trip meter until it's time to fill up again...dumba$$ people.
My F150 5.4L 4x4 got 12MPG.
I can get 325-360 miles out of a tank in my TL...a lot of heavy traffic too.

all i have to say is that i've had mine for a little over a month. this is my very first car that cost over $30k and in my opinion i couldn't have made a better choice. a guy i work with is buying a 3 series with half as many options as my tl-s came with for nearly $40k. simply absurd! i don't think there's a finer car out there for the money!
