car damage, can it be fixed?
Alright, I just brought home my brand new 3.2 TL on Monday, and some SOB already threw a brick thru the window to burglarize the inside. The window obviously needs replaced. Also, when the window shattered, there were a whole bunch of tiny chips (20+) taken out of the paint as the glass fell all over the outside of the door. Can these chips be easily repaired by the dealer, or will they have to repaint the entire door to get it to look like new? The car is only 4 days old so I have to get it fixed (I haven't even made the first payment yet). What do you all think?
Cheers!

I think people suck!
I think it depends on what the 'chips' really are, got any pictures? If they're too deep then it will need painting, but at least it's brand new and will match very well.. Tint your windows when you get it fixed that way at least it won't shatter

Okay, here's a little good news. I took the car by the dealer today and they gave me some touch-up paint to fix the scratches. They said they weren't deep enough to need repainting the entire door. So my next question is, what's the best way to buff out the touch-up paint so there aren't little bumps where the paint was added? I'm going to put the paint on in very thin layers and build it up until it's the same as the surrounding area, but there always seems to be just a little uneveness. Any tips?
Thanks!
Thanks!
ya, I've hear a few good things about using 1500-2000 grit wet sandpaper on the littlemound of touch-up paint untill it's even then use a swirl mark remover to remove the marks from the sandpaper. I havent done it personally, but i've hear it come out like new.
