Well I dropped by a Acura dealer in So cal. Tustin Acura, and was told that none of there 12 TL-S's on the lot could be delivered due to a factory recall on seatbelts. I could buy one. But I could not take it home until they fixed them with the "kits" that Acura is supplying. Sometime next week.

 

well, seatbelts are something you don't want to mess around with. I'm sure Honduh realizes this as well, and that is why they are delaying.. did they give you any details on what exactly is wrong with the seatbelts?

btw, Fontana to Tustin Acrua is pretty far!! Damn.. unless you took that new road from the 91 that takes you close to Irvine spectrum, forgot what it was called.

Your dealer may get the seatbelt adjustment kits quicker than you think.
I was all set to pick up my new WDP w/Parchment TLS today when I received a phone call saying that it might be another day or two before the car could be released because they were waiting for the adjustment kits to arrive. Obviously, I was heartbroken -- until I got a call today saying my car would be ready after work as planned!!! After close to 100 miles of driving on I-10, my new baby's resting quite comfortably in the garage now.

Hang in there, you might not have to wait so long after all.

Mikester, Sterling McCall Acura (Southwest Freeway & Beltway 8) had the kits Thursday, 5/17. Good luck!

 

It sounds like the new TL was very well built. My 99 Maxima always gives me problems. Im Jealous
