Canadian transmission having signs of failure.

About a month ago, the car was starting to have funny jerky shifts once in a while. When the car was slowing down and I gently applied the gas to speed up again, (normally the transmission would shift down a gear and then accelerate smoothly), but the tranny shifted down two gears, then up one, accompanied with a jerk. The dealership mechanic drove the car around, and said "NORMAL".
Last night, under the same condition, I applied gas and the car didn't want to speed up very well -- transmission slipping !! I'll have to see how much longer can the tranny last before total failure. Will keep everyone posted.

Go to another dealer and get a second opinion.

Take it to another dealership, agreed. Contact Acura HQ's if you can't get anyone to take your claim seriously.
