I picked up a 99 theft recovery tl from canada (so much for theft proof) in the states off auction. Is the odometer in Kilometers or miles? Trying to figure out the true mileage.

 

If it really is a CAD model it should be in kms, just like the speedo.

 

I am wondering because The climate control is in Celsius The larger print number on the speedo is mph.

 

Maybe the dealer can reset your climate control to F*
But if your speedo is in MPH ... the car was originaly sold in the USA..
No car can be sold in Canada in MPH since the earlt '80's

I bought my car from a dealer who bought it in Canada. It was used in Canada so it had all the metric readouts. Before he sold it to me he changed the gauges to English. I also have the climate control in Centigrade and I don't think they can change it to Farenheit.

If there is a way to convert C into F i'm interested.

If the car was originally sold in Canada and the speedo is in MPH it's been changed. The miles on the odometer may not be authentic.

 

Yeah, there was an article in the local paper talking about used cars being bought in Canada and then sold in the States with the speedo's not reflecting the correct mileage....
