Post Canadian Pricing for TL-S

A friend of mine is interested in purchasing a TL-S in Canada, what would be a reasonable offer? The dealer is currently offering $42500, which is $1200 above MSRP.

Cool

Although there are not many TL-S on the streets in Canada.... YET... Dealer should have no problem selling you a TL-S UNDER MSRP!!! Negotiate with your dealer...

I bought a TLS in TO. Talked to three dealers prior to finalizing a deal and can tell you that they were all very eager to negotiate. You should be able to get anywhere from $1K to $2k off retail list.

I live in TO and have negotiated with 3 nearby dealerships. Bot from one of them at >$2000 below MSRP with mats, mud flaps and 3 free check ups thrown in.

The 2nd dealership offered a similar price but with fewer goodies thrown in. Good effort but not quite enuf.

The 3rd one was smoking weed and told me "maximum 2% discount blah blah blah". Seeya.

You do realize the MSRP represents more than $3K of profit for the dealer? So I think even at my price, I have already overpaid (I couldn't wait any longer for personal reasons). Asking for anything above MSRP is absolutely BS.

Actually that price is only $550 over mrsp. You can verify this by going to the Canadian site www.acura.ca, where it clearly shows $41,000 + $950 dealer prep.
I just purchased a WDP TLs last week and really didn't bother negotiating much. I purchased the car for $42,350 CDN which includes dealer prep, mud gaurds, lighter/ashtray, rear spoiler, tinted windows and 2 oil changes. If you negotiate I would'nt be surprised if you can get away with 41,500 which is $25,750 US.

Question

I paid around $40,500 which includes the $950 destination, mud flaps, wheel locks, + block heater out here in Western Canada.

Does anybody know if the C$37,780 invoice price that people have been quoting include the $950 destination cost?

I bought my car about a month ago from a TO dealership and I got $2000 off MSRP plus floor mats, wheel locks and three free service appointments. My advice to you is "don't give up hope but try to find the best deal" Don't forget we're in a recession therefore the buyer always has the advantage!

Downtown Acura and Sherway Acura could both offer ~$2000 off MSRP with some extras thrown in. North Toronto Acura was quite inflexible. Also, I suspect if you wait a bit longer you might be able to get an even better deal.

thanks for the reply of my question

i got an offer for the tls in 590 plus tax per month for leasing but i have no idea what the invoice price is? does anyone has an invoice price? the price 37,780 that from www.carcost.ca has to add 5-8% mark up so the price would be probably 2000 dollar less than msrp as people say.

i also consider to add the factory underbody kit and spoiler. Should i buy from dealer or aftermarket? if aftermarket where can i find the kit for tls.

I am in Toronto. The dealer invoice price for TLS is $38,200. I got mine (WDP) last month for $39,600 include spoiler.

Acura of North Toronto Yonge/Steels. They give you wheel lock nuts for free as well.
